Lauren Archer

I'm Lauren, a thirty something mama to two. As a birthworker, I bring non-judgemental and unbiased support to families of all shapes and sizes. I am passionate about spreading how important care is for every parent including families that grow via surrogacy and adoption and support all families, regardless of race, religion, or gender. I started my birthwork career in 2016 after being a career nanny for almost a decade. Since 2019, I shifted my focus onto lactation, specializing in oral restrictions - feeding babies is something I truly feel so incredibly passionate about! I am a research nerd so education around the “why” and “how” allows me to leave families with the confidence and knowledge to make informed decisions. To say that this work is a passion of mine just isn’t enough - birthwork lives in my soul and I am so fortunate to not only be able to help families on their journeys but also love every minute of it while I do.

Currently lactation is about 90% of my practice and I have the pleasure of attending out of hospital births and being able to capture the magic of the moment - I have a background in telecommunications and my father was a photojournalist for 40 years so it feels so special to be able to bring that love into the birth space.

My wonderful husband and I had our first child, lovingly nicknamed Cubby, in April 2017 and our second, Bunny, in August 2023

Placenta Encapsulator:

Adela Mora

Adela’s passion for all things birth started in 2016 after she learned she was pregnant with her son. She completely immersed herself in anything, and everything she could find. Through her pregnancy and postpartum journey she realized that there were challenges with being a birthing person. Aside from physical and hormonal challenges, navigating care and her choices - really her rights - wasn't as clear cut as she expected it to be.

Through her own experience she learned of the vast discrepancies in care, and the ease with which birthing people are TOLD they need to do x,y, and z - instead of being given a CHOICE. In speaking to other birthing people, she realized nearly all birthing people want to be empowered and supported during this time. Her passion is to empower others, and be part of a greater movement to enhance care for all birthing people from all walks of life.

She believe all births are beautiful, and so incredibly powerful. She’s here to hold space, honor that intimate moment, and remind you of how bad-ass you are.
